In Loving Memory of Rosena Kresl
Rosena Kresl, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 3, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and enduring memories. Born on August 4th, 1933, in Rhode Island, Rosena's journey through life was marked by love and commitment to her family.
She graduated from The Star of the Sea Academy in San Francisco and went on to work for the Bank of America. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Dellas Kresl. They married on January 24, 1953, and together they built a life filled with joy and shared adventures. From the vibrant streets of San Francisco to the welcoming community of Grand Forks, ND, where they resided until 2008, Rosena and Dellas were partners in managing their restaurants, Del's Coffee Shop and The Beanery, leaving an indelible mark on the local community. In 2008, they moved to the charming town of Washougal, WA, continuing to create cherished memories together.
Rosena was a devoted spouse to Dellas, and their love endured through the years, providing a strong foundation for their family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dellas Kresl.
A loving and nurturing mother, Rosena leaves behind her children: Ron Kresl (Joe Conigliaro), Karen (Gary) Zabel, Jeff (Kirsten) Kresl, Mike (Shelly) Kresl, John (Julie) Kresl, and Kathleen Kresl (Heather Duffett). She is survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, leaving behind a family enriched by her love.
Rosena's caring nature extended beyond her immediate family to include her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fostering deep connections with those she held dear.
Known for her calming personality, Rosena brought a sense of tranquility to those around her, creating a haven of peace in the lives of her loved ones. Her warm smile and soothing demeanor made her a cherished friend to many.
Rosena Kresl's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Rosena's life will be held on January 19, 2024, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas, WA, starting at 10:00 am. Prior to the Mass, a Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am.
