Phyllis Jean Froemke, 84, of Castle Rock passed away Aug. 16, 2022, at Beacon Hill Rehabilitation.
She was born Jan. 15, 1938, in Marion, N.D., to Clarence and Lily (Jacobson) Olson. On Feb. 7, 1956, she married Donald G. Froemke in Minnesota. They moved to Washington soon after. Phyllis was a homemaker, raising three children while running a cattle farm with Donald.
She was hard-working and always willing to lend a helping hand. She was the most loving and caring mother and grandmother, always there with open arms. She was funny and quick-witted. She was simply amazing. Phyllis enjoyed league bowling for 30 years, card and dice games with friends, crocheting afghans, attending church, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Pam Toland of Longview; a son, Tim Froemke of Castle Rock; four siblings and their spouses, Jack and Helen Olson, Katie and Randy Meyers, Shirley and Glen Haugen and Connie and John Blixt, all in North Dakota; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; a son, Todd Froemke; a brother, Howard; and a sister, Clarene.
Phyllis will be laid to rest next to Donald during a graveside service 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at Longview Memorial Park.
