Lyubov Pavlovna Pisarchuk

Lyubov Pavlovna Pisarchuk, 92, of Longview, passed away on April 28, 2022, at home in the presence of her children and grandchildren.

She was born on September 28, 1928, in Grinivtsy, Ukraine, to Pavel Semyonovich Pisarchuk and Efrosin’ya Leonovna (Shen'gera) Pisarchuk. She attended school through the fourth grade before World War II interrupted her education.

Lyubov married her husband Leonid on November 29, 1954.

Lyubov survived famine, World War II, persecution, and exile to Siberia with her husband, parents, and children for their faith in Christ.

She and her husband Leonid weathered difficult times under communism struggling to provide for their children, until one day, against all odds, Luba was able to create and operate a floral business, which she ran for 22 years until she and her family immigrated to the United States in 1992.

Lyubov was awarded multiple medals by the Soviet Government for her hard work and for raising a large family of fourteen children. She was also awarded and took pride in her much-deserved title - Mother Heroine.

Upon immigrating to the United States, Lyubov was actively involved with her family, her community, and the Living Word Church of Longview, WA.

Everyone in the community lovingly called her Mama Luba.

Lyubov was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Leonid, her parents, her son Vasiliy Pisarchuk, and granddaughter Yanna Glukhovskikh.

She is survived by six sons: Peter Pisarchuck of Longview, WA, Andrey Pisarchuk of Indian Trail, NC, Pavel Pisarchuk, Leonid Pisarchuk, and Timofey Pisarchuk, all of Longview, WA, and Vladimir Pisarchuk of Minneapolis, MN; seven daughters, Nadia Belova and Vera Saverchenko of Longview, WA, Anna Glukhovskikh of South Lebanon, OH, Olga Ismagilova of Kelso, WA, Lyubov Gotcher of Rainier, OR, Marina Valentin of Longview, WA, and Elena Medici of Austin, Texas; two nieces, Ekaterina Antsupova of Stakhanov, Ukraine and Elena Shihareva of Ssorsk, Russia; 32 grandsons; 21 granddaughters; 28 great-grandsons; 22 great-granddaughters; six sons-in-law, seven daughters-in-law; 11 grandsons-in-law; and 15 granddaughters-in-law.

A service with viewing is planned for 12 pm. PST, Tuesday, May 3 at Steele Chapel. Burial will take place at Longview Memorial Park. A reception will follow at the Living Word Church.
