James "Jim" Creagan

April 9, 1939 - August 11, 2016

Jim grew up in and around Clark County. He played football and ran track at Ridgefield High School and served his country in the US Army, mostly at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. He raised his children here and was very active in all of their sports activities, coaching little league baseball for many years. He was on the board and instrumental in obtaining the property and moving Glenwood Little League to where it stands today. Jim was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his hunting and fishing trips around Mt. St. Helens best and spent several years on the NW Drag Racing scene, having success and many good times. He owned and operated Creagan Egg Farm for many years. He taught all of his children the meaning of hard work and how to achieve their goals. Jim retired after working several years in construction and excavation.
Jim passed away on August 11th at his home in Meadow Glade with his family at his side. We will miss him deeply. He was our charismatic leader, making friends easily and everywhere he went. His sideways sense of humor and readiness to laugh will live on in our memories. Jim is survived by his children: David (Brenda), Jimmy, Erin, Jeff (Jeannette), Mary Sorenson (Scott), and Sean (Jessica), his former wife Nita, good friend and former son-in-law, Mike Frank. One brother David L. Cregan of Vancouver. Fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Our family would like to thank all the beautiful people at Grandpa's Place Assisted Living in Meadow Glade for the love and care they gave Jim and our family.
