Donald Earl Massey

Donald E. Massey was born Oct. 10, 1931, to Joseph E. and Pauline Catherine (House) Massey of Blackwater Township, N.D. He was the third child of a family of 14 children. As a teenager the family moved to Toledo, Wash., where he graduated from high school.

On Dec. 22, 1951, Don married Marlene Joyce Bruce and they enjoyed 68 years of marriage. Most of their years were in Longview, Wash., and Warden, Wash. Don was a millworker and dairyman for most of working years. In November of 2020, he returned to Longview, where he passed away March 20, 2021. Don was part of a worldwide fellowship from a young age with a deep faith in God.

He is survived by two daughters, Joyce Langdon (Ross) of Kelso, Debra Massey of Boise, Idaho; three sons, Donald A. Massey (Kathy) of Boise, Terry L. Massey (Nikki) of Chicago, Ill., and David W. Massey (Gena) of Spokane, Wash.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers; a sister; and numerous friends and extended family.

Don was preceded in death by a son, Ken Massey; and his wife, Marlene Massey.

A service will be announced this summer.
