Ronald Wayne Goodrich

On Wednesday, February 24, 2021, Ronald Wayne Goodrich passed away at the age of 79 at St. John’s Hospital, Longview, WA. Ron was born on July 4, 1941, in Ft. Collins, CO to Roscoe and Lu Ella (Ackelson) Goodrich. Ron’s family moved to Longview the year he was born. Ron went to R.A. Long High School and joined the Army before he graduated. He later completed high school at LCC, and then went on to attend Washington State University where he majored in Cultural Anthropology.

On January 9th, 1995, Ron Married Betty Anne Adams, in Coeur D Alene, ID. They lived on their farm in Bonners Ferry, ID, for many happy years. Ron loved horses and all animals. He worked many years as a tree faller and horse trainer and loved being in the woods. Ron was preceded in death by Betty, in 2009. Ron is survived by his children, Joe Coy, Rochelle Quested, and Brennon Goodrich, and his stepchildren Lance Adams and Darrell Park, his brother Gary Goodrich, his sister Barbara Worrall, and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Ron will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. Date to be determined.
